Congress Venue Makuhari Messe International Conference Hall | The Kanda University of International Studies | Things to do in Makuhari | Summer Weather | Movie The IX World Congress of ICCEES will be held in Makuhari. Makuhari is a new urban city that is located on the bay of Tokyo. The opening ceremony and the opening session (Monday, 3 August 2015) will take place at the Makuhari Messe Convention and Exhibition Center, and all other sessions (from Tuesday, 4 August to Saturday, 8 August 2015) will be held at Kanda University of International Studies. Makuhari Messe is one of the biggest convention centers in Japan. Makuhari Messe has the International Exhibition Halls, International Conference Hall, and the Makuhari Event Hall. The registration, opening ceremony, opening session, and welcome party will take place at the International Conference Hall. The title of the opening session is: "The "Summit" Meeting of the Former Prime Ministers of Russia, Japan, and South Korea: The Global Pivot to Asia and the Rise of China". Facilities Map
Congress Venue from Tuesday, 4 August to Saturday, 8 August 2015: The Kanda University of International Studies
All panel and roundtable sessions will take place at Kanda University of International Studies. For each panel and roundtable sessions, Kanda University of International Studies will provide an audio-visual equipment and PC (Windows) in each room. The Kanda University of International Studies campus has many interesting facilities including Asian Kitchen. Campus Map Although Makuhari is known as a new modern city, it has a traditional aspect, which is in a sharp contrast to the surrounding environment. Near the Makuhari Messe Center, the Mihama Traditional Garden (Mihama-en), a beautiful Japanese garden, is located inside the Makuhari Seaside Park. Here, you can partake in an authentic tea ceremonies in the designed tea house. Open 8:00-16:00 (No holidays, Entrance fees: Adults 100 JPY/Youth 50 JPY.) If you are interested in conducting research in Makuhari, there is also the Institute of Developing Economies, Japan External Trade Organization (IDE-JETRO). The IDE Library boasts a wide selection of materials and resources to assist research dealing with the economics, politics and social issues of developing countries and regions in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Oceania, and East Europe. It has a reading room that is open for everyone between 10:00-18:00 on weekdays. Also, there is a cafeteria open to the public between 11:30-13:30 on weekdays (only for lunch). Please note that lunch is often sold out by 13:00.
Summer Weather in Makuhari / Tokyo Makuhari / Tokyo weather in summer is extremely hot and humid. Every year, many people die from heatstroke and dehydration. Please be sure to drink lots of water and fluids during your stay.
