The Center for Evolving Humanities places a strong emphasis on cross-disciplinary research, as well as the promotion of internationalization and development of new research methods with a view to the future of the humanities. The Center has three divisions: Cultural Exchange Studies, International Humanities, and Digital Humanities. It works in cooperation and collaboration with university-wide organizations such as the Humanities Center and 150-Year History Compilation Office, and with other organizations within the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, including the Regional Collaboration Promotion Office and Japanese Language Program.

Courses taught: | Special lectures on cultural exchange are offered as part of a second-semester liberal arts course open to all students at the university. The cultural exchange exercises deal with the environment and cultural history. At the graduate school, he teaches a seminar on Confucianism in the field of East Asian Thought and Culture. |

Lectures on Japanese Academic Writing cover the basics and applications of writing theses and dissertations for international graduate students. |
