Research Area

Aesthetics

I currently research on digital games, which is the generic term covering games played with modern computer technologies, from the aesthetic point of view. Topics are included like visual illusion, pseudo-3D experience and immersion, player activity and interactivity, and player challenge competitiveness. While developping this project, I ultimately try to reestablish the aesthetics as a modern academic discipline, overarching philosophy, engineering and cognitive sciences.
