The Department of Aesthetics focuses on the education and research of aesthetics and various art studies. While aesthetics is traditionally a philosophical discipline focused on the study of beauty and art, the department also conducts research on individual artworks across various genres and investigates the historical and social contexts that shaped the concepts of beauty and art.
