Study of the Transformation of Welfare Society during the Welfare State Restructuring Period from Perspective of Sociology of Organizations
1) Study of Changes in Welfare Service Provision Systems during the Welfare State Restructuring Period
In the late modern period, there has been a shift from a welfare state system centered on cash benefits to one where service provision and employment support are increasingly emphasized. This research examines how private for-profit and non-profit organizations have expanded and transformed within the restructured welfare state, using Japan as a case study to clarify the process and factors of this transformation starting from the year 2000.
2) Comparative Sociological Study of the Social Sector
The role of the social sector, including social enterprises, varies greatly across different societies. This research uses a comparative sociological perspective, focusing on Asia, to understand the dynamics of the social sector and clarify its relationship with social security systems and labor markets.
