My research focuses on the socialization of family functions, specifically how to establish supportive relationships in society to replace the role of the family as it becomes increasingly individualized. This study aims to further develop and expand the theory of the socialization of caregiving.

Legal representative authority may be required when supporting the elderly in their daily life, hospitalization, institutionalization, or end-of-life care within the community. Therefore, my research investigates how frameworks such as voluntary guardianship, civil guardianship, and corporate guardianship can help individuals continue to live in their familiar communities until the end of their lives.

I am interested in the support relationships found in organizations with principles of mutual aid, such as workers’ cooperatives, Christian monasteries, traditional Buddhist temples, and communal organizations.
