The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures focuses on education and research related to the languages, literature, film, theater, and other arts and cultures of the Slavic world. The department's aim is to understand and critically examine the rich culture born from the history of symbiosis and conflict among the multi-ethnic groups of the Slavic world. We offer courses including Polish, Czech, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and Russian as well as Slavic comparative linguistics.
