Research on how “class” consciousness is manifested in British literature and popular culture. 

2) Representation of Suburbia in Britain, the U.S., and Japan 

Research on how the concept of “suburbia” is represented and understood in British, American, and Japanese literary works and culture. 

3) Representation of the Pygmalion Theme in Literature and Culture 

A study of the Pygmalion theme from Greek mythology and its representation in literature and popular culture.
