1) Person perception
Person perception refers to the mental processes that support our understanding and inferences about others, such as their feelings, thoughts, and personalities. My current work focuses on how people form first impressions of others based on facial appearance. I've also studied emotion recognition from facial expressions.
2) Psychology of aging
Aging has complex effects on psychological functioning; the effects vary considerably depending on mental processes, contexts, individuals, etc. I am particularly interested in understanding the effects of aging on person perception.
