I examine the relationship between various religions' thoughts and practices and war in modern Japan, as well as their involvement in peace movements.

3) Religion as Cultural Resource

I am interested in examining religious exhibitions in museums, the religious functions of museums in secular societies, and the relationship between religious administration and cultural heritage management.

Building on the study of folk beliefs, I focus on everyday religious practices in contemporary contexts.
