Modern German Literature

1) Romanticism: Literature, Poetics, and Philosophy of Nature

Analyzing the poetics and philosophy of nature in Early Romanticism, focusing on Novalis, and examining the works of later Romantic poets and writers such as Brentano, Arnim, and Hoffmann.

2) Lichtenberg Studies

Analyzing the diverse literary activities of G.C. Lichtenberg, a natural scientist and writer, in relation to the philosophical and literary trends of his time, as well as his research in natural sciences.

3) Wieland Studies

Analyzing the later novels of the writer Wieland, who holds a significant position in Late Enlightenment literature and Weimar Classicism, in relation to his vigorous study of ancient Greek and Roman literature and contemporary novel theory.
