Research Areas

General Purpose Technologization of Cognitive Artifacts

Building on foundational research in cognitive science, the history of technology, international cooperation, and social collaboration, I investigate the processes of dissemination and transformation of documents and literacy, focusing on both research materials and methodological approaches. I also have a strong interest in collaborating with experts from various fields and engage in interdisciplinary and action research with scholars in history, information science, and other disciplines. As of August 2024, I serve as the lead for the University of Tokyo Humanities Center's collaborative project “Digital Platform for Cultural Resources for Open Humanities” (scheduled to conclude in September 2025).
