1) History of Religions in the United States

Research on Protestant-Catholic relations and anti-Catholicism in the 19th century.

2) Contemporary Religion in the United States

Research on contemporary conservative Christians, focusing on their understanding of history and the “Christian nation” argument, reaction to the rise of nonbelievers, impact on the educational system (such as the expansion of homeschooling), and usage of contemporary culture.

3) Historical Development and Current State of “Religious Liberty”

Study of various issues and challenges concerning religious liberty, primarily based on cases from the United States.
