Investigating societal changes during the late Middle to early Late Jomon periods in the Pacific coastal regions of eastern Japan, focusing on pottery, hearths, and pottery burial structures.
2) Introduction of Cereals to Northern Japan
Examining the introduction process of continental grains (rice, millet, foxtail millet, and barley) to northern Japan through the analysis of carbonized seeds and pottery impressions using the replica method.
3) The Spread of the Satsumon Culture in Eastern Hokkaido
Exploring how the Satsumon culture spread and was accepted in eastern Hokkaido, focusing on pottery, dwellings, hearths, and the development of grain utilization.
4) Investigation of Archaeological Materials from the Paleolithic to the Early Jomon Period in Western Shizuoka Prefecture
Conducting research and analysis of pottery and stone tools in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, alongside excavations of cave sites.
