From the General Secretary of the IAHR
To All Keynote Speakers and Panel and Symposia Organizers
Statement Concerning Adjunct Proceedings

Information Concerning the IAHR 2005 Information Counter
at Narita International Airport
To assist you in getting from Narita International to the Congress site (or your lodging facility), the Congress Secretariat will be manning an information counter at Narita International Airport. It will be open from 9:00 - 19:00 for two days - March 23 (Wednesday) and 24 (Thursday). The information counter is located in the arrival lobby (near Zone B) of the Second Terminal Building. Please see the Narita's Website for further information on the layout of the arrival lobby:
http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/index.html

Please note that although we will not be manning an information counter in the First Terminal, a few members of our staff will be on hand near the terminal's main exit gates to assist you.

The information counter will primarily be able to assist you in finding the most convenient route to the Congress site. As we expect more than 600 participants coming through Narita, we ask that you kindly understand the we may not be able to meet all of your requests.

for you to secure a visa.

The academic programme is now online.

Please check the time and date of your panel, and let us know if any corrections need to be made.
We sincerely apologize for the delay in making this information available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Acceptance of proposal of papers is now closed.

The organizers of IAHR 2005 Tokyo are thankful for many proposals and opinions that were sent during the Early Registration period (April 1 to October 15, 2004). Now, Early Registration has closed; Registration Desk will not accept proposal of papers any further. However, you can make inquiries or requests to the Congress Secretariat (CS) directly, if you have any problems of your proposals, such as modifications of you paper title or abstract, changes of panel members, and so on. Please see below for the contact address of the Congress Secretariat.

In order to complete the procedure for proposal of papers, it is necessary to send every necessary information and 150-word abstracts to Registration Desk, in addition to paying adequate fees. Those who have completed Early Registration procedures properly will receive confirmation letters in November. If you do not receive one in December yet, please contact Registration Desk.

The Late Registration began on November 1. A Late Registration fee is 38,000 Japanese Yen for an ordinary participant, and 22,000 Japanese Yen for a student.

Please note that there is a misprint in the "REGISTRATION" page of the Second Circular. The correct fee for Late Registration is 38,000 Japanese yen, not 39,000 yen. The Congress Secretariat makes apologies for every inconvenience brought about by the misprint.

On-line Registration Form is available. Please see the page of Registration Form. It is also possible to reserve accommodations in Tokyo on line.

Acceptance of applications for Financial Assistance was closed in August 2004.

  • A printed version of the second circular (including registration forms) was mailed on July 6th to the participants whose contact information was given to the Congress Secretariat.
Please let the Congress Secretariat know if you do not receive a copy.

  • A FAQ concerning the Congress has been placed online.
