- Prof.Allan Kellehear (La Trobe University)
May 25, 2004 17:00-19:00
at Medical Library 333 lecture room, The University of Tokyo

Professor Kellehear is the director of the palliative care unit at
La Trobe University in Australia, and also a researcher of the general
clinic at the University of Melbourne medical school. Considering Professor
Kellehear's work on the topics of death, dying, and palliative care
and loss, it is fitting to call him a "sociologist who puts research
into practice." There is an increasing interest in spiritual care
within Japan, and we hope that Professor Kellehear's talk on the issues
of spiritual care within palliative care in Australia and other Western
countries will give suggestions to both the research and the practice
in Japan.
