Main activities of our program
This program is centered on conducting symposia, workshops,
and public forums with both Japanese and non-Japanese scholars.
Further, our researchers make their findings available through
the Death and Life Studies research forum, our various publications,
and our newsletter. Please see the individual pages on this
Website for more details.
Please note that we receive personnel and organizational support
from the "Applied Ethics Education Program" (founded in 2002)
of the Graduate School of Sociology and Humanities.
