Also, some angular stones were paved on the bottom half of the standing stone. Moreover, “remains surrounded by broken stones” were found on the south side of the standing stone’s base. This photograph shows the state of finding the standing stone and the angler stones on its east side. -

Also, a pit measuring 16 cm deep was found under these stone layers. This photograph shows the state after excavating the standing stone and the round stones in the upper layer. -

No. NZM_22 Description Nishizakiyama Minami Stone Circle (Area 3), stone circle No.3 (from the south) Photographed year 1952 Size 35mm Plate No. of the report Box No. S7_18 Comment According to the excavation report (Komai 1973), the standing stone of stone circle No.3 was bigger than those of No.1 and No.2. There are stacked round stones at the base of the standing stone in this photograph. However, because there are no remarks about the array of these round stones and the pit under the stones, their details are unknown. The excavation report stated that several round stones with lines were found at the base of the standing stone of stone circle No.3 and near this area. -

According to the excavation report (Komai 1973), stone circle No.3 was excavated in 1953. However, after comparing No.3 in NZM_23 and NZM_08, it is clear that NZM_22, 23, and 24 were taken in 1952 and NZM_25 and 26 were taken in 1953. -
