This photograph from 1999 shows that the site area was under cultivation, and greenhouses were lining the northern part of the area. -

The central area in the photograph shows the Tokoro-chashi Site, the forest to the right of that is the Okhotsk Locality of the Tokoro-chashi Sites, and part of the area inside the forest to the right is called the Tokoro-chashi Minamione Site.
