 報告

During our field trip to Kazakhstan in winter 2013, we made interviews mainly in and around Almaty, due to the short time period and harsh climatic conditions in other regions of Kazakhstan. Interviews were taken from the representatives of both titular and non-titular ethnic groups.

The contents of the interviews were highly satisfactory and productive. These memories included some new information about the establishment of the Soviet power in Kazakhstan and life of the ordinary people during collectivization, as well as many other interesting details. The trip was significant to record these memories.

Besides, this fieldwork was also important to feel the pulse of the current undergoing changes and general situation in Central Asia, and to have a good grasp of the relevant publications from the region.
