| Comment | Hokudai type pottery was developed during the Final Epi-Jomon period. The main form is the deep bowl, but there are some other forms such as a shallow bowl with a pouring lip. This example, with its incised lines, belongs to the latter group of the Hokudai type, which was not evident in eastern Hokkaido. |
