Ket: Bibliographical guide


About the Ket language

Ket (Yenisei Ostyak) belongs to the Ket-Yug group of the Yenisei language family. Now it is practically the only still living language of the whole family.

Where the speakers live

The Middle Yenisei with its tributaries from the Podkamennaya Tunguska in the south to Kureyka in the north. Krasnoyarsk territory: Turukhansk district. Settlements: Kellog, Baklanikha, Surgutikha, Goroshikha, Maduyka, Bor, Turukhansk. Evenki Autonomous Area: Baykit district. Settlement: Sulomai.
