Comment | These artifacts were excavated from a burial pit with the Kohoku C2-D type of pottery from the Late Epi-Jomon period. The pottery is in excellent condition and nearly intact, except for a small piece missing from the rim. In keeping with the Kohoku C2-D type, the burials of stoneware decreased and were replaced by a small amount of ironware. An iron knife was found in this burial pit, with a partial wooden handle remaining. |
