Comment | These artifacts were excavated from a burial pit along with Kohoku C1 type pottery from the Late Epi-Jomon period. Although it is widely acknowledged that no amber beads were buried in tombs during this period and beads made of other stone materials as well as glass beads were buried instead, round ornaments made of a green tuff were also excavated from this tomb. Furthermore, the mass burial of stoneware items continues until this period. Many stoneware items, among which 48 arrowheads, were excavated from this tomb. |
