Comment | There artifacts were excavated from a burial pit along with the Utsunai Ⅱa type pottery from the Early Epi-Jomon period. Multiple tombs containing many amber beads have been found at the Tokoro River Estuary Site. Approximately 2,400 amber beads were excavated from this burial pit, the largest number among all the burial pits at this site. Stone arrowheads, polished stone axes, deformed stoneware, and a stone ornament with a bear head carving were also found in this tomb. This tomb presented the most abundant burial artifacts. |
