CommentThese thirteen pieces of pottery were excavated together from a burial pit of the Initial Epi-Jomon period. Although this follows the Nusamai type pottery, the shape and pattern are different; for instance, most of the pottery have a raised bottom. This type of pottery also has H-shaped incised lines, which can be seen on the rim of the deep bowl in the back, to the right. The shape and pattern of the small pottery tends to be simpler. However, the large pottery has a special shape like the double-mouth pottery on the right side.
