CommentAnimals, especially bear-shaped artifacts are often seen in the Okhotsk culture. This is a representative artifact made of sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus) bone. From the sophisticated carving of whole body, it can be perceived that the bear was considered to be a special animal in the Okhotsk culture.
