CommentThe technology of the ‘Blade Arrowhead Industry’ spread throughout eastern Hokkaido during the late Initial Jomon period. The features of this toolkit include tools such as arrowheads, burins and side scrapers with thin narrow blades made by pressure flaking. The technique of creating arrowheads from blades was seen widely around northeastern Asia.
