Visual Demonstrations
Some notes about this page
In some of our research, especially for those using dynamic displays, we run our experiments with a bit complicated stimuli. Here, you can see some visual demonstrations related to our studies. We hope these would help you understanding our works. Note that these demos are quite alike to actual experiment, though not exactly the same.
Effect of common item motions in MOT
Demonstrations related to:
Suganuma, M. & Yokosawa, K. (in press) Grouping and trajectory storage in multiple object tracking: Impairments due to common item motions, Perception.(Reprint coming soon)
Your task is to keep on tracking of all targets (which would be indicated by flashing) till the end. To see the difference between the contrtol and the other condtions, just look at one (or two) targets motion. In chase, parallel, and trail conditions, you would see that non-target item is moving "with" target item for a while.
(Each movie files are approximately 5MB)
